Actually i dont have any idea about this subject.But, for me personally according to the subject`s name itself i wonder it is about something that related to the electronic devices such as resistors, diodes etc..Perhaps we will bring ourself to study about the materials used to make the components and things dat affect the components like temperature and the pressure..Though, I also heard from other ppl say this subject very similar to last semester`s subject "material science"..But then all just the introduction and we still havent start the lecture yet..But for me i guess it`s gonna be such a cool subject to be learn.

hye there...solid state devices may similar with material science...i'll learn periodic table,composite of the devices,conversion unit again...but according to my senior it is more complicated than material science...no matter how...i'll try my best to pass diz course....hopefully i can get a gud grade...

I think this subject is quiet similar with material science and electronics...so we must have a strong basic in both of this subject....actually,this subject will cover about an elements in the devices which is related to our course...and lastly,for those who want to buy the textbook,you can get it from tunas mekar,only cost you about RM65,hurry up!!!!

thnx puan.. your lecture last is very interesting.. we learn about bonding model and energy band model and also about electron and holes as carriers and how they are created.. we learn about intrinsic and extrinsic material..and from extrinsic material,we know how donor and acceptor work from energy band model and bonding model..
