for introductary i find it quite similar to material science and extension to it. and this subject seem very tough as the course require me to memorize alot of concepts.
I'm think for this subject its give to our student view about related between chemistry element (material) thas used in electronic devices ,how come it can be funtioned either if we consider in chemically form or electrically form,atherwise i also hope this subject are usefull for me in understanding for next semester subject.
in this subject, we have have to know the basic of semiconductor and fundamental physics of how the electron behave in matter. it`s necessary to understand the electronic properties of the material which they are made and how they are affected by impurities,temperature,applied voltage,device structures and radiation.

My opinion about solid state devices is we learn about the operational characteristics of semiconductor devices and its operations.This subject is a vital basic that electrical student should know if they want to involve in electronic field after graduation soon.
As far i study about this subject i think that solid state is related to electronics 1 which i take it in part 1.For me,learning about solid state is important because as we know semiconductor is an important devices that we always use in our daily life.

this ELE431 is like the continuous from the subject Material Science EE303.It discuss about the characteristic of the semiconductor, such as homogeneous or nonhomogeneous.as engineering student we should know all th kind of material that contribute to our course.

i think this subject,about semiconductor concept.it almost use element in group 3,4,and 5.it slight same like subject material science but more to s/c.
